The vision of Exceptional Connections is to empower parents to advocate for their loved ones through education and training. We faithfully believe that the knowledge and action of what is learned in these training sessions will help parents navigate confidently the complicated systems that serve their children with disabilities.

The goal is for parents to learn how to document their child’s unique needs. As well as for parents to understand the difference between a medical diagnosis and eligibility for services such as Special Education and Regional Center. Also, for parents to understand the entire process of an IEP, IPP, and IHSS.

Exceptional Connections provide monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual one-on-one and group training on various topics. Additionally, we offer roundtables and conversations on a monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual basis for families to learn from each other.

Armed with knowledge and confidence, parents will be able to defend their children’s rights, advocate for them successfully; and at the same time, improve their child’s quality of life.
